creation 2025

The worlds of parkour and circus meet in ‘Ukemi: The Art of Falling’, an outdoor performance about risk-taking. On a mobile parkour installation, creator Simon Granit Ossoinak brings an ode to the fall, aiming to reframe dealing with risk as a wonderful experience when done in the right way. It will show how falling is an art that can be practiced.
Ukemi shows the full process of taking risks with 3 acrobats: from the careful preparation, to the fall.
From blind faith to success!
Or maybe the fall was as much a success as the trick that succeeded?

Simon Granit Ossoinak is a versatile artist from Stockholm who has been based in Rotterdam since he graduated from Codarts Circus Arts. With his performance ‘The Odd Ones’ he toured around the Netherlands, Belgium, Scandinavia and the UK, surprising the audience with some amazing movements.
With ‘Ukemi’ Simon is developing into a director and is merging two passions, circus and parkour!
