Show Your HopeWith his bright yellow truck, stuffed with decorated panels, Mr Martin roams the world, both literally and figuratively. Show Your Hope is a wonderful combination of visual art, narrative theatre and social commitment.
The concept is simple: artists of different nationalities are asked to paint an empty panel and express their views on ‘hope’. The decorated panel is then collected and the story told.
The painting is included in the exhibition and the story committed to the narrator’s memory. He travels and stops at events, symposiums, festivals and museums to display his paintings and tell his stories. The narrator may be asked to focus on a particular theme. Outside, the paintings are mounted on the yellow bus for the exhibition. For indoor exhibitions suitable locations are found.
It's time for the narrator to start. His eyes sparkling, he talks passionately about the paintings he has brought. His approach is direct and realistic. With his never-ending enthusiasm he shares the stories behind the works of art with his audience, injecting even more colour into his ‘Show Your Hope' exhibition along the way.
